My husband’s parents called today to see if we’d like any of the baby stuff that his sister has leftover from her two kids. My inlaws are staying at her house right now, and they offered to pack everything up and ship it. There’s a Baby Bjorn, a monitor, and several other things, including the basinette that my husband and both his sisters slept in when they were babies. I’m very excited about that one. It’s over 40 years old, made of wood, and has a family history. I was a little concerned about how much my in laws are going to have to pay to ship it to us, but I think that my mother-in-law so loves the idea of our baby using the basinette she used for her own babies that she doesn’t care about shipping costs. So they’re going to pack all that stuff up this week and send it to us. I’m feeling very loved.

Wow, that’s great! Frugal and loved. :-)
I volunteered with a woman who had a baby Bjorn carrier. It was the handiest thing ever. We were working an urban farm…so if the baby wanted to sleep she turned inwards and if she wanted to watch, she faced outwards.
Kirsten said it was pretty comfortable too.

That is great! That will save you tons of money.
I got lots of stuff from others-and then passed it on after to others.
