The Carnival of Personal Finance is up at Advanced Personal Finance. KMC did a great job – there are a ton of posts, and most of them have commentary – nicely done!
I liked the post by One Frugal Girl about home organization – I’m always looking for more ways to cut back on the amount of stuff we have in our house. I’ll have to give this a try. My office would be a good place to start…
And I also found the post from Veteran Military Wife about getting off mailing lists to be very helpful. Several years ago, I sent a letter to some central records place that I found online, asking that we be removed from mailing lists for credit card offers. It worked great for about two or three years, but now we’re getting tons of offers again. Part of the problem is that we incorporated our business in 2006, so for the last year and a half we’ve been getting business credit card offers as well as personal ones. Grrrrrr! I think I’ll go through all the steps in the post and see if I can cut down on the pile that grows every week on our dining room table before I move it to the shredder…
Enjoy the carnival everyone, and the nice four-day workweek! Happy Labor Day!
