Turbo Tax Give Away!

March 31, 2009 By Frugal Babe

For all you readers who haven’t filed your taxes yet, I have another give away.  Yes, I’m just full of good stuff this week.  Turbo Tax is giving two of my readers web cards with a prepaid access code (includes one free federal + state preparation + efiles) for Turbo Tax Deluxe Online (approximately $65 value each).  I’ll be drawing winners on Saturday morning, so get yourself entered in this contest by midnight on Friday, April 3rd.  To enter, just leave a comment with your favorite April Fool’s joke.   Good luck!

As I am in Japan and won’t be able to fill out my US taxes until July, I was wondering if the Turbo Tax online will still work 4 months from now?

    And now for my entry-
    (I love puns)
I wondered why the baseball was getting bigger. Then it hit me.

Also. I found an interesting story of a really big April fools prank done to an astrologer in the 18th century on Damn Interesting
    here- http://www.damninteresting.com/?p=955

    Alicia,
Yep – it will still work for people who file for an extension :)

Perhaps it’s because you asked for a GOOD April Fool’s joke?

I only have a bad prank: My intern came up to me this morning with this elaborate list of questions about one of our projects. “Did you know that boss moved everything in the list? Did you know he wants to reformat the whole thing? Did you hear that he wants to try again today?

All designed to fool me into thinking that the boss had completely turned one of our projects topsy-turvy. Unfortunately, he got confused halfway through and lost track of his story! :)

Souns great. My favorite prank is one that will be pulled on my husband before he goes to bed. It’s called shorting the sheets. Pretty much when he gets to bed, the sheets will be too short and get his legs caught.

When I was a kid I set my brother’s alarm clock for the middle of the night. he was so sleepy when he’d turn it off that he didn’t realize why he was so tired until I told him a week later.

I hope that this year my procrastination will pay off and I will get picked.

    Ok here’s my joke:

One year I changed my brother’s auto correct spelling feature in Microsoft Word on his computer. So every time he typed a particular word the auto correct feature changed it to something else. For example, “the” was replaced with “butt”, “A” was replaced with “dork”, etc.

I also switched the sugar with salt one year. He had some very salty frosted flakes. LOL.

The funniest prank I know was from high school. As the senior prank students in the auto shop class took apart the teachers car and reassembled it in the classroom on the last day of school before graduation. My class poured soapy water all over the second floor hallway right before the end of the day. Everyone that came out of the classrooms fell right on their butts! *no one was hurt BTW*
